Changes in v1.5.2
Version 1.5.2 is a bug-fix release and differs from v1.5 as follows:
• Program initialization is faster, because certain operations are deferred until later. The most noticable of these changes is that the first time in each session that the AppleScript Formatting window is opened there will be a delay while the font menu is created.
• The System 7.5 floating window 'WDEF' is used, so it conforms to user interface guidelines.
• Problems reading certain dynamic Dictionaries (such as that for the CodeWarrior IDE) have been fixed.
• In some circumstances the 'result' of an operation would be lost during single stepping, so it would be undefined when referred to in the next statement: this has been fixed.
• The event log did not reliably log errors returned by apple events; this has been fixed.
• There was a problem in the dictionary window: repeated command-clicks in suite list could cause a crash; this has been fixed.
• The positions and open/closed status of event log & variable watcher windows was not being saved; this has been fixed.
• SuperBoomerang compatibility has been improved: it is still necessary to "exclude" ScriptWizard from the list of applications, but now the file type pop-up menu and the option check boxes in the file save dialog will work.
• There was a problem in the variable watcher, the first time a script was single stepped after the window was opened: the user needed to click on the pop-up menu before step-by-step refreshes would take place; this has been fixed.
If you have received this update in the form of a 'patch' file, please note that you must apply the patch to a copy of the original v1.5 release of ScriptWizard, not to the intervening version 1.5.1.
